I'm hooked...

...on learning macrame! I am all out of silver plated wire anyway, so until I buy some more I'm taking baby steps as you can see, but it's taking all my discipline (my what?) not to dive deep , but learn the correct way! Do every single knot and practice! Otherwise my husband will find me trapped on a spider web of my own design! :-D

Wire earrings

Some things are lost in translation and because the greek post today is not all about earrings, I choose not to translate the rest, because you can't translate the feelings you have when writing something...

No strings attached?

Yeah, I guess the title is misleading... 'cause there are strings and there are beads attached or not...but it was the only title I could think of!...

Three matching sets

We come in peace... Doesn't my set look like an alien in the first photo? Hahahaha... The first two sets are new trials, so be gentle...

It's freezing out there, but Madam Inspiration brought spring with her on Saturday... Who am I to say no? ...

Although I adore seeing Sophie (see previous post) as my page loads, I know I should keep on posting... :-) As I am preparing tomorrow's post, in which I will show you how to make your own beads, I thought I should drop by and show you a necklace I made recently with ceramic beads...

Time to meet our family...

Ever since I was a little girl I adored animals! It didn't matter that a cat had attacked me in order to protect her kittens, that  a donkey had chased me, that a dog had bitten my brother! I just couldn't stop loving them!...

Down by the sea...

Gathering pebbles on the beach is one of the things I adore about summer. You can find them in different shapes, colors and sizes and they are always unique.

Chainmaille is an exciting technique and the things one can do with the different types of weaving, are really incredible. As a beginner, I decided to start with the one of the simple techniques...

Beaded black choker and more...

So, as I was just saying on my greek twin-blog, several years ago I had a lovely beaded black choker, which was ideal especially for those nights out in the town, when we went rocking till the morning... Yeah, I'm a rock fan... Anyway, at some point my choker broke...

Be Fabulous with Swarovksi!

What is it with us women and shiny things? Ever since we were little girls we were drawn by glittering, impressive things and of course jewellery. I'm not a fun of extravagancy, but I do love an elegant sparkling jewel now and then... ;-)

For kids and for the young at heart!

It doesn't matter if you are eight or eighty! If you are a girl, you love jewellery! Here are some necklaces, bracelets and matching sets for girls or for women with young spirits!

Bracelets...

Here are photos of my first few attempts to make bracelets! You will find multi-string bracelets in a variety of beads and colors, as well as more simple, but still lovely ones. The nice thing about these types of bracelets is that you can add any kind of bead you want!

Natural black lava jewellery

Natural black lava and metal beads on silver plated wire.
One of my most favourite semi-precious stones is lava, which derives from natural volcano lava. It is said that it provides protection and is also connected to creativity.

Addicted to purple!!!

I confess!!! I love purple! Whether it's in clothes, jewellery, on walls or anything else for that matter!

Earrings for every taste...

Once my hands started obeying my head...I tried a few new designs along with simpler ones...

And so the story begins...

If someone told me a year ago that I would be making my own jewellery, I would tell him that he was crazy! I had never given it any consideration...I just thought I couldn't! It was just a matter of never having tried to do anything like that! Once I started I couldn't stop! The first few pair of earrings I made were by using pliers you can find at a hardware store! So, don't say "I can't" just try it! I'll be here to give you tips and answer to your questions! Take a look and let me know what you think!
